What is Opality?
Opality is IT Energy’s set of cloud based services. These services are aimed at the small and medium sized enterprise market, primarily in the UK. Typically customers have between one and one hundred users, and often those users are dispersed, with a strong need for access to email and applications from remote offices and while on the move. For some organizations, Opality is all they need in the way of functionality one normally associates with servers – without the cost of acquiring, supporting and upgrading hardware and software. For other organizations, Opality supplements in-house IT services by delivering specialized functions such as offsite backup or email archiving, lightening the load on IT people.
Our Background
As one of the first Exchange and BlackBerry Enterprise Server hosting providers in the UK, the company has steadily built a loyal base of satisfied customers who are mainly small and medium sized enterprises with dispersed, demanding workforces. Many of those customers have offices around the world. They come from a variety of industries, but are mainly in legal, information technology and financial services. Its main route to that market is almost entirely through other IT service companies. These partners resell cloud services delivered by us under IT Energy’s Opality brand or their own label. IT Energy is also a software development company.
